an Awkward and Awesome Thursday ...

If you've never stopped by The Daybook blog, you should really go check it out. It's done by a girl named Sydney who is as funny as she is adorable...and will have you wishing you had a bit of her style, not to mention her legs...(my one leg = two Sydney legs.) Anyways, she does a post called Awkward and Awesome Thursdays and invites her readers to do the same, listing their link on her blog. Thought I'd give it a try:)...Here goes...

Awkward...

-Little sis over in the morning and Philly finding last night's milkshake in the fridge. And then, like it's a normal thing to do, proceeding to drink it for breakfast. (When I found him with it) told him absolutely not. Then gave him mac 'n cheese instead. Not my best parenting moment. Especially in front of family.

-Philly wanting to strike up conversations with every person we pass in public. Mama is extremely shy. Thank you, babe. Who knew my 5 year old son would bring me out of my shell.

-Pulling up to red light and thinking "hmmm...guy on motorcycle next to me is really kind of a cutie"...Then realizing it is actually my little brother. Oops.

-Kids mistaking older man outside Wawa for their Pop-pop. Pointing fingers and yelling "Pop-pop" made it somewhat obvious and difficult to ignore. As did walking past him saying under my breath, "Shh. that's not your Pop-pop." I could see it though; he did have the same eyebrows.

-Stopping at Starbucks and ordering 6 of the cake pops. Not getting the 6/7.50 discount and then telling the girl I'm sure that's the price-- I stopped at the other Starbucks yesterday and I only paid 7.50 for 6. Am I really buying 12 cake pops every 2 days?

Awesome...

-Saying something funny and clever last night and getting the response "that's pretty good" from Phil. (He is hard to impress with humor. I usually get the that-was-lame-look.)

-Secretly watching ESPN and listening to sports radio stations. Then beating Phil to stats, injury reports, and possible trades and draft predictions. Yes, that will also get me the " that's pretty good":). And a nice lil' smack on the backside:).

-Philly and Niamh snuggled up together on our bed watching a movie. Best friends first, then brother and sister.

-Philly's prayers at dinner. He never finishes with "Amen." Just sort of stops and says, "hmmm...that's all I got." I think even God must smile at that one:).

-Two bubble baths in one day. Don't know how I managed that one, but it was pretty awesome:)

Okay, so that's my first Awkward and Awesome Thursday post:)...Kind of fun!...Now I need to skidaddle cuz I have lots to get done and am still in my pj's...toodles:)
