I saw
this really pretty handmade card on the Simply Sassy Dt blog...and immediately wanted to give it a try. It is called a center step card, and I used
this tutorial to figure it out. Wow-- it literally took three minutes, and I had it all cut and folded...looking just about perfect. (I think a heavier cardstock would look a tiny bit nicer than the one I chose...but hey, it's my first one:) I needed a card to send to my grand parents, so I used a vintage image from my Etsy shop. I really like this little sweetie:). You can find the artwork version
here.
So easy! Niamh is in the middle of making one for her cousin. I think my days of buying cards are over:). They are a nice way to take a break from artwork, but still stay in my creative groove;). Have a great night! xo
too cute!

I do love this image and it would be fab in rubber!
Love Elaine xx
I have to echo Debz & Elaine - I thought I'd like her in rubber even before I read their comments. I love the vintage look of not only the image but the embellishing you have chosen. I love the way those ribbon & eyelet (?) ties echo her leg/footwear. The way that stitching, Broderie Anglaise style punched border & script paper add to the vintage mood is so in keeping with the shabby chic style too. I too love this kind of fold for a card - thanks for reminding me how much I enjoy creating with it & having followed your link to SCS it's going to be so much easier now I have a Scor-Pal.

That is so cute! I'd give it a go but I don't have anything near that cute to make into a card. >.<
ReplyDeleteJust bought 3 of your digi-stamps and can't wait to get started. Do you remember one of a girl with a little piggy in a tutu sat at her feet? I saw Bev Rochester did a sample with it and it was adorable. I don't see that image on your catalogue. Any ideas please?
