Saturated Canary?
What’s behind the name?
sat•u•rat•ed (sa chu-r at ed) adj. Unable to hold or contain more; full.
I love this word, because I want to be completely filled with the Lord, my family, and the abilities and possibilities He graciously gives me. ‘Canary’—I love my mom so much...She has always been a huge encourager and supporter of everything I try. Her favorite color is yellow. That is where it all comes from;).

it's really interesting to hear where Saturated Canary came from - my online name (wiccababe) is often misunderstood, I've had many a lengthy email from women worried for my soul, when in fact it's not nearly as interesting as me being a white witch... it's simply a reference to my all-time favourite tv show ever - Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the fact that one of my daughters is called Willow is a bit of a giveaway too :)

Beautiful - you're very lucky to have a close relationship with your mom. :) Thanks for sharing. xo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post! It's so interesting to know the meaning behind blog names! Such a sweet tribute to your mom's love and support for you! Just bought my first images and can't wait to receive them & color them up! :)
ReplyDelete....... & He gives more too...... perhaps it is my wacky association but I think of God's pearl of great price........ a pearl is very precious & so is a diamond. A saturated canary is a particular grade of yellow diamond - God hones our lives like polishing a jewel & cutting it finely (diamonds are cut). That probably doesn't make a lot of sense but it might. Anyhow I think of a Saturated Canary, then you & your blog, then a diamond & there is God in charge of all.
ReplyDeleteYour explanation is a lovely tribute to both God & your Mum.

I'm so glad I read this, I'm dyslexic and always read things wrong. The whole time I've been following you I've been reading the blog name as 'SATURDAY canary' :S I'm very happy to have been put right and the actual name makes so much more sense and has a beautiful story :)
