1.2.3...A Numbered List. UGH.

I've been doing lots of Smash pages...and lots don't get posted on here.  If they did, my blog would only become a Smash related place...and I do like a little variety!  I have three pages to show today.

Page One, Niamh and I Smashing
she has become quite the little Smash-a-holic herself!

I try my best to blog about fun things...use colorful, quality photos...Make it worth your while to pop over from time to time:).However, occasionally I need a Tie the Loose Ends Up sort of post.  Not really that fun to read-- but necessary.

So--  to answer some questions and take care of a few things...

1.
I've been asked about being followed on Instagram on several occasions.  I keep my Instagram account private for two reasons.  One, both my sisters have asked that I not post photos of my nieces and nephews online or on any social media page.  I can't resist taking their photos, so I keep my pictures private to respect their personal choices.  Everybody is different; and I am happy to keep their little mugs all to myself:)...
The second reason-- I have lost my phone before to two mischievous children...who go off somewhere in the house and take "random" photos.  I know this is happening when the house becomes incredibly quiet with sudden bursts of laughter.  Maybe my kids are just weird-- but they think butts (yeah-- butts.) are hilarious.   I've found several shots of Philly mooning my camera with a thumbs up.  (Okay.  I laughed in secret before correcting them.)  Anyways...I choose not to share my knucklehead kids' bare bottoms, should they choose to sneak off and be gross again in the future.

That's why I don't have a link to follow there:)...

2.
Numbered lists irritate me.  Moving on.

3.
You can check out my tons of Smash pages on Flickr here.  Just in case you wanted to see them all in one place:).

4.
On Monday, I will announce a new project and DT call here.  Be sure to check it out if you love to do YouTube craft tutorial videos!  You may be just what we're looking for!:)

5.
I buy my (washi) tapes here, here, and here.

6.
I use these little perfectly shaped bows on lots of my Smash pages.  They are solid color, like the pink one on my first page above.  I do not tie them myself:).  I wish I did.  But alas.  My bow-tieing abilities are less than spectacular:).  I buy those bows at my local Hobby Lobby store.  You can also find them online here.

7.
A bee carrying a piece of TRIX cereal flew into my window while I was driving this week and smacked me right in the cheek.  (He, unfortunately, died instantly...holding his treasured piece of cereal.)

If anyone can find out the odds of that happening to someone during their lifespan, I'll give you a free digi.  Seriously.

bee + cereal + through open window + while driving 50mph (okay...60mph.) = red mark on cheek + a tear in my eye...
(it stung, people.)

Free digi.  Good luck;)!

If you made it down here-- I'm impressed.

I would have ditched this post at #3:)...
Like I said, numbered lists irritate me.

Thanks for popping in on your Friday, friends!
I love you guys!
xx

  4. Ouch, poor you and poor departed bee. Wouldn't have a clue where to start looking for the "odds"...**giggle**...and my brain certainly couldn't work it out. Hope someone comes up with an answer for you - those sorts of figures are always intriguing.

Your kids are so cute and for some reason my girls also think it's funny to all of a sudden drop dacks and moon me, they run off giggling and I stand there wondering where I went wrong, lol! That is the most random thing a bee holding cereal, never heard of such a thing, till now that is!

  12. LMAO - I have a FEAR of a bee flying in my window while I'm driving so I RARELY drive with the window down!!! You've JUST proved my theory so THANK YOU. I am making my hubby read this because it CAN happen and it DOES happen. LMAO Except I'd be the one FREAKING out driving out of control b/c of it so for the safety of everyone around me, I do NOT drive with the windows down.....

I love your list...especially #4. *sigh* I wish I knew what you were up to!

  13. Great smash book page! Oh my goodness that bee must have been as hungry as you. Thanks for sharing.

  14. The bee story is utterly bizarre! (And just why were you speeding? LOL!)
And I don't mind lists at all. At my age, you need lists to remember things. Like your name, your age, your social security number, where you live--you know, things like that. ;^)

  19. Well I cannot better Sandi's comment above! You're definitely one in a million & made me smile this morning. Take care of that bee sting. In this day & age of hang everything out never mind propriety I think you are absolutely right keeping certain things private.

  25. #7 is so bizarre! I've been stung in the butt while driving but I did not take a picture of it! Silly kids, too much fun!! I would say the odds are about a bazillion (yes, that is a number, lol) to one of that ever happening again.
Thanks for the link to those bows. I had thought to ask how you made them so perfectly :)
Thanks for all the laughs :)

  27. In a sample space of equiprobable outcomes, the probability of an event is the ratio of the number of favorable outcomes to the total size of the space. This means that the probabilities of events are defined in relation to eacher other. If there is a finite number of exhaustive and mutually exclusive events Ak, k = 1, 2, ..., K, with nk being the number of favorable outcomes in Ak then

    P(Ak) = nk / N,
    where N = n1 + n2 + ... + nK.

    No clue.

That is just more math than the average bear can bear! I'm going to say the odds are so infinitely high that you should go buy a lottery ticket. >.<

I once had a bee fly up the leg of my jeans as I was riding on the back of a motorcycle, but he didn't have any cereal with him, and, and, I was in the open air making me more accessible to a bee. But I thought the odds of that were pretty high so lets just start with odds of 2,572,395,196/1.

    1. Redonna, shoot me an email with your choice of digi in it-- I'll send it to you:)...I'm pretty sure this qualifies as an answer to my challenge:)-- even if none of use really understand it:).

    2. Awww, thank you Krista. And as much as I love your digi's, I humbly pass since the first part I have no clue what it really says or means.

I googled something like "how to determine the odds of ...?", found that and thought it was so technical and confusing that it just struck me as hilarious.

Once you get halfway down, where I admitted to No Clue, the rest is me and is the sole basis of the 2,572,395,196/1 odd I added at the end - no mathematical logic for validation.

But you are sweet and I hope when you read that mathematical stuff that you too laughed at it. :D

  28. Love your pages :-) The solution to getting to the end of your "numbered list" post was simple....IGNORE the numbers, lol. Don't know the odds of the bee thing, probably about the same as taking your cousin-from-England to "Australia's Safest Beach", him getting jelly fish stung across his FACE and you breaking a bone in your foot while rushing in to the water to "save" him... Yup, pretty remote is the answer I give, though I know it can... and DOES happen! Donna ☺

  29. Definitely made it to the end, numbered list or no! Love reading your blog babe, always makes me smile! Totally intrigued about the bee and cereal encounter, love to know the stats! Hope you don't still have the red mark! Hugs, Wends x

  31. lol I love lists and I love numbered lists. I am a list making fool. How crazy about the bee with the Trix. I have actually been hit twice by a bee. Though both times i was the passenger. Both times going down the highway about 60-65mph. One smacked me right on my right cheek and the other time it was in the forehead. Hurt like heck too. One lived for a bit as it crawled up my pant leg after it hit me...the other died on contact. My boyfriend teases me because I've had a couple other bugs smash into me when I put my arm out the window when we are cruising along the highway or interstate. I've started keeping my limbs inside the car now and my window rolled up a good portion of the way. lol They must know I truly am not a fan of bugs or something. And I will kill a spider, ant, beetle, or whatever enters my house. Eeek all bugs freak me out. lol He on the other hand will set any free he comes across. And as of today he has yet to be hit with any bugs while driving. So unfair. lol

  32. Fabulous post! Love your pages and that Niamh loves Smashing too. My daughter (9 yrs) recently started and she loves it. Thanks for the smile, I have not had a bee fly into my car but a bird did once and scarred be for life.
