HOT.

saturated canary digis
saturated canary digis
I had this digi colored for a few days, and I sat down in the dim house this morning and made a card.  We are kinda/sorta roughing it around here.  Storms on Friday night caused our electric to go out.  There is so much damage in the area from mostly trees and telephone lines, the electric company is saying we will have it back by July 6.  Ouch.

One thing I can say.
I have had quite the upper body workout sawing down our fallen trees with Phil:).  Also.  We had Doritos for dinner the other night...which, besides being super healthy, cleans up great and the kids were happy as anything:).

We upgraded tonight and ate dinner at my mom and dad's.  It was fun and relaxing...and we all got a nice long shower.  I almost forgot what they feel like.

We are by faaaaaarrrrr not the worst off around here. I am thankful for just some fallen trees.  Niamh prayed through the entire storm, and Jesus heard her screams yells prayers and kept our house and family safe with no damage! Praise God!

Anyways... I'm dripping sweaty right now.  But.  I should loose five pounds tonight while sleeping:), so that is a plus.

Happy hot, sticky summer folks!:)
xx

  4. I feel somewhere out in left field right now. Being from Ontario, Canada, our weather is somewhat uneventful compared to what you have and so many other areas have gone through. I will hope for cooler days until the 6th., but then it's up to the hydro people. Your card is great. Can't wait to see more and more. Looking forward to the release in Chicago.

I'm SO glad you are all safe - it stinks being without power, we had a crazy "no name" storm rock us when we lived in Sarasota many, many years ago and were without power for like a week so I totally know what you are going thru - although it was just us. much harder with kiddos. Hope you stay cool. *hugs*

  11. I'm so glad you're all OK with minimal damage. We've very strange weather too at present, it's more like autumn & the rivers are swelling. We live very high up & can see the search helicopters as they go through the valley when there missing people - it's sobering & we've had a fair amount of activity over the last week. Take good care all of you.

  18. Glad to hear you are all ok & only have minimal damage! Our power was out for 6 hrs. after a storm last month & we thought we were hard done by! LOL We really are lucky here in Manitoba, Canada that we don't get severe weather very often & rarely anything like you guys get. Love your card & that image is adorable...but then, all your images are adorable! Keep safe!
    Hugs, Renee

  21. Hi Sweetie,

Your card really does tell the tale!! I am so pleased that its just the trees that have fallen, i have been praying for you and your little family since you told me about the storms! We do get quite a bit of info over here in the U.K about your weather so i was aware of how bad it was, yet, its personal stories like yours that truly bring it home, continue to stay safe honey, and i hope you have power soon, hugs&blessings, Vick xxx

  25. We were without power for 3 weeks following Hurricane Alicia so I feel your pain. I'm just glad that your family and home went unscathed. Just a suggestion, but if you'll take cotton sheets and wet them, then wring them out well and lay them over you and the kids, you'll sleep much better, especially if you can open the windows at night and take advantage of any breeze that might be blowing. Oh, your card is lovely! Hope your power is restored sooner than expected.

    Hugs, Annie
