Smashing.

I've been having a lot of fun with our 'Summer Smash Book.'  It is filling up quick-- so I may need another soon, to finish out the summer...And boy!  Is it flying by!  I cannot believe it is the middle of July already...

Here are a couple Smash pages...The first and third ones are in our summer book.  The one with our dog, Lilo, is in a different, random book:).

First, I smashed about the kids' rollerskating lessons:).  Every Saturday morning, we head over to the skating rink for a couple hours...Phil wanted to take lessons, too.  But we figured he didn't fit into the age dynamic....since no one is over the age of 12:).

Here is our [naughty] dog, Lilo.  She eats socks.  And drools a lot.  But we love her, despite it all.  We did discover that we avoid missing socks if we muzzle her when we leave the house:).

And one more!:)  We took Lilo to the vet this week for shots, and Niamh brought her other two pets, Boone and Peanut.  The vet and nurses were just tickled....as they had never had a manatee or elephant visit before.  Everyone got a clean bill of health, too;).

What have you smashed about this summer??  Do you have any pets?  Any weird ones?? I will be specifically asking Santa this year NOT to bring any life size baby animals to my house.  We are running out of room:).

Have a lovely Wednesday!!
xx

  4. Love your smash book, but im going to ask a real stupid question here but i have to ask.......we don't do (yet) smash books over here much, infact i don't think i know anyone over here that does do them, what are they intended to be then? like a mix between a scrapbook and diary? I like the look of them but because my children are all grown up and nothing much happens here im guessing should i start one of these? as i havent got anything to put in it really, but then, they DO look like so much fun!!!???? Huggles, V x

  5. Fab smash pages, love the cute buttons and the fabrics you use. I'm smashing colouring! Creating pages full of coloured characters, SC are there, soon to have their very own double page spread in my crafty smash book! But I'm smashing other stuff too, I've been collecting stuff & printing pics to use. Summer seems to be passing us by over here, though today has been sunny but still a chill with a cold breeze. Definitely not normal July weather! Take care Zo xx

  14. I just finished my first SMASH book… yeahhhh my 40s birthday celebration SMASH book!...I did it on a weekend! I just SMASH all the cards I got…the little tags from the gifts…some gifts cards (after I spent them of course!!!) and just 10 of my fav pictures! I then, decorated the covers (front and back) and use a ribbon with a magnet charm to close it! I am showing it out at work today. Lol. I did ripped out the extra pages to be able to flip and close it better.
Pets… we do have fishes…9 African Cichlids (3 of those were actually born and rise in our fish tank (giggling))..we don’t allergies or anything (thank you God)…just don’t want any other kind of pets, not even pet sitting for my sister-in-law black Labrador.

  22. I think Phil should go for the skate lessons with the 12 year old. I started ballet in my late 40's. Just me and the 12 year olds.

The instructor asked if I wanted to be in the recitial and I told her " You bet I do." The next year they had a class for adults and I shared the stage with 8 other older beginners. I loved it!
