Here is how this works:)...
Just a couple little things before you download and get colorin';)!!
Below are the links to both of my charity digis, which will hopefully help raise some funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. And right below the thumbnails, you will see a 'Paypal Donate' button.
You *do not* have to donate to use the digital stamps. It is up to you, my friends. I understand that not everyone can donate at this time. I would love [LOVE] to visit St. Jude's late fall/early winter and bring your handmade cards to the children there. I have applied for a weekend spot at the hospital in early December. I am awaiting word on approval. Fingers crossed, if everything goes smoothly, I may be able to bring handmade cards to the hospital for the children and families..or even the nurses and doctors. The application process takes a few weeks, so I will keep you informed.
If I am able to bring cards to the hospital, that gives some of you another option of donating in the fall-- donating your time and crafting skills to send an awesome card to a child/family/care giver. So, no need to feel down if you cannot donate money right now... just tuck that thought in the back of your mind!
If you can donate, it doesn't have to be a lot:).
$1 is the change I have laying under the seats in my truck:). (I'm a reeeeaaaaaaalllllllyyyyyy messy car person, so there could even be more:). Anyways, if 500 people donate $1, which is 1/8th the normal cost for two digis, then we just raised a lot of money for a *great* cause:).
I ask that everyone who downloads my free digital stamps please be a follower. Following via Google Friend Connect (see friends in left sidebar:) or Bloglovin will allow you to keep tabs on future stamp releases, upcoming projects, my occasional freebies, oh!-- and my awesome outfit posts;). lol.

Hello. I clicked the donate button, but it wouldn't open the paypal site. So I refreshed, but it still didn't work. So I closed the browser and tried again, but it still didn't work. :( Can you maybe email me your email so I can send it directly? I would be happy to donate, but now I don't know how. If there isn't a way, please let me know and I can send you something that I made (hat, scarf, card, jewelry). Thank you for the digis.
ReplyDeleteI am having trouble with Paypal tonight as well...I think it would maybe be best to try again in a few hours. Others have been able to donate successfully-- but I know the error message you are getting. I get the same one when I tried to donate into the account myself.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for doing this. This touches my family deeply. Though we have not had treatment at St Jude's, we have been blessed to have been helped at the House Ear Clinic and St. Vincent Medical Center in LA. My daughter has bilateral congenital cholesteatoma. It is rare and there have been kids that have died from it. She has had seven surgeries as this is the only treatment. We had crappy insurance that would have left us with tens of thousands of out of pocket expenses. Both facilities forgave our entire portion of the bill so I know what a Godsend St. Jude's is for kids and their families. Our girl is fine. She will have to wear hearing aids and have checkups for the rest of her life and there may be more surgeries down the road but all in all she is well and that is a blessing. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!

ReplyDeleteI support cancer research by walking to raise money and also making cards for our local charity shop to sell. Its really not a hardship when I make one card, I use all the left overs to make another card, no waste,(useful scrap idea) whatso ever and if I sell a card anything over materials goes in my little box on the window sill. I will definately be using your images to make something, cheery. I can't wait to start.
And you are right about the lose change, I found 50p earlier on the floor when I was vacuming, and I am sure if I go in my car, I could buy a small island with all the change in there bwahahahahahaha!!

ReplyDeleteAs always your digi's are awesome. It is a wonderful thing that you are doing. I don't know much about St. Jude's but here in England we have a world leading childrens hospital called Great Ormond Street Hospital-GOSH- the ground breaking work they do is primarily funded by donations, it is my choosen charity and I make a small monthly donation to them. So I know how much difference one single £/$ can make. I have donated the cost of 2 digi's, I know it isn't much, but even if 100 of us all donate $8, we could make a whole lot of difference to a childs life, and we all know you can't put a price on a child's life.

ReplyDeleteI know when I went in today for my oncologist's appt., the cards in the basket I keep there for all of the chemo patients were a bit hit. people were taking some while I was at my appt. These cute images will make wonderful cards to help fill the basket! :) thank you so much!

We will make these cards together so that I can send in 4 of them. It is always nice to have ones that children made as well. (She asked for & is getting a set of the atyouSpica Copics. There is a story written about it on my blog. :)

ReplyDeleteThe digis are super - and I would love to download and donate - on behalf of Operation Skriv Hjem - a Danish non-profit organisation donating handmade cards for our deployed soldiers to help them keep in touch with their families back home. But just wanted to check that it will be OK to use your digis for such cards? Could you please reply on above blog - and if it is an OK I will go ahead and download. ReplyDeletekrista, i have just donated, having been in and out of childrens hospitals since i was 1 month old and now the Queen Elizabeth in the uk i can say every penny really does go to help the kids not only in medical equipment but also their mental health during long stays in hospital... with love and hugs
