I am making Niamh a princess scrapbook for Christmas. I started it last night. The cover needs to be finished still-- it won't stay like that:). But I think when it is done, she'll love it. I'm gonna fill it with funny princess rules and digis and loveliness:). Sayings and sweet things to make her smile.
Do you give handmade gifts for presents? Any planned for Christmas??
I love handmade goodness!
By the way, that digi will be in my princess-themed release this Thursday!
Her name is Peanelope.
I will share more of my princess book as it is completed...Maybe do a tutorial so you can make your own:). Now back to my desk to finish a couple more pages...:)
Hope your weekend was wonderful!
xx

ReplyDeleteI do love Peanelope, she's adorable! I love to make handmade gifts and give them when I can. I'm going with recipe books this year for family members, using family recipes and a few favorites that I always seem to use. My new grandson is getting a baby book with empty pages for his parents to fill up (it's actually for his parents, but hope he enjoys it as he grows). I'm sure Niamh is going to just love her princess scrapbook, I already do with what little I've seen of it!

Aww what a sweet mama.. crafting all this fun for Niamh! Gosh, it would take me a day to just design one page like that. Funny thing about the name Peanelope.. I always read it/say it like it rhymes with Cantelope.. and then catch myself. Much like Photo-grapher, Magic-Can, Epi-Phone, these all throw me. Ok, going to stop rambling! lol.
ReplyDeleteI, of course, LOVE handmade... and am currently burning my chubby digits to the bone with this cursed glue gun tonight!!
This is hardcore d.i.y/upcycling/crafting week at the blog consequently!

Most of my Christmas gifts are handmade...I am 55 years old, and the BEST Christmas gift I ever received from my Momma was a turtle she made with my 4-H leader! To this day, it bring tears to my eyes that my Momma would take the time to make me something with her own two hands! I am the eldest of 9, so she had pretty busy hands all the time! Your book is lovely...as are you and your children. TFS!
ReplyDeleteNiamh is just going to love this one. It´s sooooo beautiful and awesome made. I loves to get handmade gifts more than anything and I often give handmade gifts too. You can always make a gift much more personal this way and fit exactly to the reciever then, and hopefully it makes them feel much more special. I know my 2 youngest granddaughters would be very disappointed, if they didn´t get something special from me on their birthdays, that´s for sure.
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous digi. Love the book. xx Flora
ReplyDeleteI love it! What a great gift and simply adorable, I'm sure it will be one of her favorites!
ReplyDeleteOh your daughter is going to love it, I like the way youve put things into it that she has to think about, its so her. hugs Shirleyxxxxx
ReplyDeleteFABULOUSNESS!!! Yes I DO give handmade gifts most every year!!! Love love this idea!! She will too! So much fun and goodness!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet gift, its beautiful, i wish i had one! Im making a box of handmade cards as a gift for one of my friends, so i hope they like them!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Thursday! Super idea - my trouble is I craft for this one craft fair I've been doing. The only one I do, but then I have no time for me to just craft so I miss out making gifts. The fair was on Saturday and I did well; sold the most I ever have, but physically it was too much so I've decided to not do it again and now craft for me! So I'm hoping to start making gifts for people, I have so many ideas so I'm looking forward to bring them alive instead of worrying about making things to sell at the fair! Take care lovely Zo xx
ReplyDeleteThat is the most beautiful gift to give your baby girl!
ReplyDeleteHandmade gifts are the best, the thought and love put into them are priceless.

ReplyDeleteThis is adorable. Niamh is going to love it. I hope she cherishes it forever! I totally do handmade every year. Sock monkeys, jewelery, tutus, etc. The kids love it and I feel better when I give them something with their gift cards :) So far this year I have made a recipe box holder and a card box holder stuffed with cards. I think I may make some monster hats for my boys..not sure about my daughter yet. I may just have to case this idea ;)

I'm so jealous!! I wish I could have my very own Princess book! I love princesses, and I have the sweetest little 1 year old prince. I don't think my hubby will let me make him anything with princesses, so I'll just have to make one for myself!! I CANNOT wait for Thursday when I can get all your new creations! I'm in love with them already. Please do keep us updated on the progress of this beautiful gift, and I too would love a tutorial or two! *smooches* Jenn
