Rainbows in the Rain. Oklahoma.

Hello lovelies.

Today was Field Day at Niamh and Philly's school.  I hate field day. Well, I mean I love it~ but I hate it, too.  It is so stressful.  My hope is that both of them end up with a ribbon...even if it is a third place. It is not because I need to raise champions. I mean, if it happens by accident, that is fine.  But, it's not why I stress/pull out my hair/freak-out on Field Day.  I just know how much it means to each of them to receive a ribbon for doing great in one of the games.

Philly won first place in the tennis ball throw.
Go future Yankee dude.

Niamh did great, too.
She is awesome at the potato sack-jumping race.
She has won a ribbon every year for it.
Except today.
In the final heat, and definitely clinching at least second,
she fell down and twisted her ankle.
Tears.
Tears.
And more tears.
My heart was broken for her.
Later in the morning, she quietly told me
I think Jesus knew someone else needed that ribbon today.
I am crying now just typing that.
Her heart is golden.

I made her a funny, little first place ribbon tonight.
For "Finding the Rainbow in the Rain."
She does that well.
And even though my homegirl can get some serious air time,
I am way more proud of her heart than her jumping skills.

So.
I am not doing a Father's Day stamp this weekend.
Sorry if you were hoping for it.
I just did not have one planned.
But, I have this cutie.
Let's celebrate another school year ending...
And summer!
And finding rainbows in the rain!

Here is how to receive Sweet Oklahoma for a special price until Friday 1159pm *EST*.
Read carefully, peeps.

1. Be a follower of this blog.
Follow via Google (see sidebar), BloglovinFacebook, and/or Instagram (@kristacanary).
I do special giveaways *exclusive to each of these ways to follow*...
So doubling up never hurts:).

2. Use coupon code OKLAHOMA in my shop when buying her.
You will receive her for $1.
**Please read the bottom of this post to see where the money will be donated.**

3.  Make something lovely for someone who finds rainbows in the rain:).

Please note, the 'specials' and discounts I offer have a timeline. If you need to check what 1159EST is on your own time, here is a converter (I am in the same time zone as Philadelphia and New York City:).  She will NOT be available this weekend for $1, but will return to regular price.  Please take advantage of this offer while it is available.  I will not send her via email to late customers.  Sorry!

All proceeds from the special price sale will go to this lovely lady's daughter.
It will be a small gift~ just to let her know there are crafty people all over the world
thinking and praying for her family and community.

Thank you for helping me give to someone who needs extra love at this time!

  1. Love your little one's heart! God blessed me many times after the death of our daughter with Double Rainbows! He even mad an Easter Lily bloom and hold its bloom for three weeks that first Holiday season after she was gone! (It took me three weeks to realize that what I had been looking at every morning on our patio couldn't possibly do that late Nov., early Dec.). Jesus, our Wonderful Saviour, has a hold on your daughter's heart...how blessed you are to be her Mama!

    1. Hi Christine, you put the discount code in after the paypal screen. I know it feels weird, but effectively you confirm in Paypal and then it takes you back to Krista's site and you enter the discount code there. It's worked for me. What a great cause to donate to. I've just read Mari's absolutely horrendous account of the storm on her blog. Living in the UK we have no idea how lucky we are when it comes to avoiding these natural disasters.

  19. What a heartbreaking story to read, but how sweet of you to do this to help these poor people out just a tiny bit, but if just enough people does too, then it really does matter.
Ofcause your daughter have a big heart, as that´s what she sees from you all the time, and our kids ofcause does what we do too, so you can feel sure, she´ll turn out to be a wonderful persom, who cares deeply for others too.
I´ll be sooo glad to do my little bit from over here, so ofcause I´m going to get this beautiful image here too. She´s soo beautiful, and I´ll feel sooo happy, when I get to play with her later.
You´re a really bighearted person Krista, and thanks so much for that. Please have a wonderful week-end and thanks soo much again.

I read it last night and was tearing up, then I went to Barb's Hands Free Mama link and started to cry and then a link from there to Orange Rhino which made me just downright bawl. You don't even know how deeply I was touched and how I needed to read each of the things I read last night. Krista you have God just pouring out of you, touching everyone you "meet" and that is a testament to your FAITH! Blessings blessings abundant blessings!
